Global Humanity Foundation is committed to improving the lives of people who need urgent help in various regions of the world. Our core concerns include providing access to basic amenities that we consider human rights for every individual, such as access to clean water, food, safety, healthcare, and education. The Board of Directors of GHF are passionately dedicated to finding ways to serve globally underserved communities.

Lynn Van Tiem (President)
Lynn resides in Charleston, SC, with her husband and four children. With a passion and love for exploring, Lynn spent much of her early twenties backpacking solo throughout Asia and Europe. A love of travel and appreciation of cultures have been encouraged by Lynn’s husband's work as a Delta pilot, facilitating family trips around the world to learn of other cultures first hand. Whether working with Moms Demand Action for common-sense gun legislation, Big Brother Big Sister, or Be A Mentor, Lynn strives with like-minded people to bring assistance to those who need it most.

Sitti Hajar (Chairman)
Sitti has volunteered with NGO organizations in the USA, Egypt, and Indonesia over the last 20 years, alternatively volunteering on or helping to fund international projects. Professionally she helms an accountancy firm specializing in personal and corporate taxes, and personally, her passion for helping others live a better life, has led her to do pro bono work in accounting and finance, as well as ideating and managing major international projects.

Fatriani Bahrul (East Indonesia Director)
Fatriani covers all programs in the Sulawesi, Ambon and Papua regions. For over 15 years she has been involved in education and housing for impoverished communities in Indonesia, recently overseeing the construction of a school providing room and board for the refuse and plastics-collecting children of Gowa district. Alongside her husband, Dr. Bahrul Awamil, she has also overseen free medical care given to the underserved in Sulawesi, and is in charge of the weekly free meals program across East Indonesia.

Katherine Vizcaino (Program & International Projects Director)
Katherine comes to GHF with corporate, NGO, and extensive writing experience. Her postgraduate work (SOAS) focuses on social justice, refugees, and economic empowerment. As Program Director, she oversees our U.S. and overseas programs, creating collaborations with local agencies and communities where possible, to combine (iNGO) donor, local, and state funding for augmented programs in poverty alleviation, refugee assistance, and food security. She drives the business management of GHF alongside the Chairman.

Iwan Kurniawan (Project & Community Outreach Director)
A native Indonesian, Iwan has been working in Indonesian TV and media for 15 years. In his professional experience, he has helped make communication strategic and created activation events for several foundations in Indonesia. Now, as CEO of a creative communication company in Indonesia, Iwan hopes to use his skills and experience to make life better for those who need assistance.

Asma Nadia ( PR/Marketing Director )
Asma is the internationally acclaimed author of 58 books, many of which have been made into films. She was named one of the seven most influential people in Indonesia for 2010, and was named to the list of The Worlds 500 Most Influential Muslims 2012-2019. She co-founded Forum Lingkar Pena, and Komunitas Bisa Menulis, organizations which help youth become writers, is a frequent campaigner in the “Indonesian Women Write” movement, and an organizer of 271 Rumah Baca, which provides free reading rooms for underserved youth. Her residency programs in South Korea (Korean Literature Translation Institute ,2005), Switzerland (Le Chateau de Lavigny, 2009), Barcelona (Canserrat Artists in Residence, 2011) and the United States, (International Writing Program Iowa, 2013), have given her deep insight into the lives of needy populations across the globe. She regularly gives back in both education, charity, and with GHF, communications and marketing work.
